The SeniMerchandiser is responsible fexecuting Category directives in their focusry. They are the liaison between the San Francisco based team the factories, managing seasonal developments, vendrelations, T&A key communications. They work in conjunction with WSI China QA to support the US based team factory needs.
Job Content Duties:
1. Product Development:
- Work with Merchandise Manager on category strategy to ensure right product, right vendor
- Fully versed on T&A calendar all key dates. Alert Sourcing team when falling off calendar.
- Manage Testing of products with factories protocol adherence
- Communicate target costs sample ETD’s to vendors, follow up on weekly progress
- Communicate program approval to vendors ensure that the factory has the correct approved sample before they go into production
- Troubleshoot any issues that come up in production work with factory to ensure on-time delivery notify Sourcing team if there are any majdelays.
2. Negotiate costs MOQs
- Negotiate with factories to achieve target costs fseasonal developments
- Obtain agreement on initial reorder MOQs
- Address factory up-charges as they arise work with the brto drive agreements
3. Vendrelations capacity management
- Facilitate On-boarding of new vendors
- Create strong relationships with all of our key vendors
- Plan create strategic venddevelopment to establish long term business growth
- Stay on top of factory issues (strikes, holidays, etc) communicate as needed to the SF team
4. Sourcing
- source new products /factories via trade shows market contacts
- Understwhere our competitors are producing their product the capabilities of all of our factories

5. Development Trips
- Coordinate development trips with corporate sourcing team
- prepare all documents samples fteam’s visit
6. Liaise with QA team
- Prioritize maintain inspection schedule across factories
Job Competencies & Experience
Knowledge
The incumbent must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:
- Minimum 6 years of practical experience in Dec Acc products
- Knowledge of sourcing product development
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing process in the Dec Acc / Tabletop area
